Three New Schemes

Because my presentation yesterday wasn't very successful and didn't represent ideas that I was excited to work with, I came up with 3 completely new schemes. The first two are still based off of similar ideas that I came up with for yesterday, and the third is a completely new and random one. I will continue to develop these schemes for friday, but these are the basic ideas I was able to come up with last night.

    hi,

i think all of these three schemes have much possibility... however, i would suggest that you continue to develop them (ie. making models, looking at them, making other drawings, etc). in other words, as schemes that are 3 hrs old (ie. from the time of the review until when you sent them), they need a little bit more time to grow and come into being. and, ultimately, its hard to know which one is best without more things to express their strengths and weaknesses.

as to the first, while it is somewhat related to ryan's scheme, on the other hand, i could see it being radically different form it (yes, it might be based on a similar impulse, but, that doesn't mean that its copying or ends up the same). this, for me, is more the case when i look at the section -top middle- and the small axon and perspective of the holes in the ground... it becomes a bit problematic when the connections become "worm holes." (as an initial strategy that generates that might be ok, but, it needs to develop into something more concrete).

i like the section (middle of the page; not pochéd) of the second scheme... i think its a lot richer than the plan you have for it... i suspect that the plan (for that section) would be infinitely more interesting than the plan you have which seems to treat the overlaps very evenly and the circles to each other in very similar ways... that section doesn't suggest that.

and, finally, the third scheme seems to be just as interesting in the axon and section... but, those are too general. they lack material specificity. i want to know how light comes in, how the spaces are, and feel, etc.

so... in short, i would suggest that you continue working on them... and then, tomorrow, we can do what we did yesterday. look at them, and then, focus a direction...
    make sense?
